I’ve been playing Magic for over ten years now and I am twice the National Champion of Malaysia. I’ve participated in many Grand Prix, Pro Tours and World Championships. Some of you may know me as the younger brother to multiple PT top 8 and Invitational winner Terry Soh.

Your friends are completely shocked at how you continue to win, time and time again you’ve gained a lot of respect from some great Magic players…

Let’s quickly talk a bit about how I discovered Magic and how far I’ve managed to get playing the game…

I got hooked. And pretty soon I taught my brother how to play—before I knew it about a dozen or so of my friends had started playing! We would gather every single week at my friend’s house to trade cards, play lots of casual games…

In fact I still remember his KILLER combo of a creature with trample and rampage enchanted with Lure. He told us if we wanted to get better we should visit the local gaming shop in town… There were loads of great players there and it was there that we learnt how to build decks and play better.

Me and my brother spent hundreds of Dollars of our pocket money buying booster packs and we used to watch the really good players and learn from them.

Now, the cool thing was that this gaming shop had a weekly tournament where they would give out booster packs to the top finishers.

Tweaking our decks with cards we won in tournaments, doing lots of trades and hanging out with players and discussing deck among other things and after going through lots of trial and error…
